Active aging is about making thoughtful daily lifestyle choices that will improve your physical and mental wellbeing. Studies show that physical activity is essential in maintaining mobility, preventing chronic diseases and promoting social interaction and emotional health for adults.
To show it is never too late to add activity to your lifestyle, St. Mary’s of Michigan is hosting a movie premiere "Age of Champions.”
This documentary film is an inspiring story about a group of athletes – a 100-year-old tennis champion, 86-year old pole vaulter, pair of swimming brothers and a team of basketball grandmothers – all chasing gold at the National Senior Games.
The film captures the triumphant spirit of these seniors who tackle old age with grace, humor and optimism. Win or lose, they are living proof that it’s never too late to become champions.
