ScholarshipsThe deadline for all scholarship applications is April 18. Beverly Kremin Memorial Health Care Scholarship
The Michael Kremin Family has donated funds to the St. Mary’s of Michigan Foundation for the specific purpose of establishing a scholarship program to be administered by the Foundation in memory of Beverly Kremin, RN, who worked at St. Mary’s of Michigan. The initial award is a $3,000 scholarship. Four subsequent awards of $2,500 may be made on an annual basis if the student affirms continuing pursuit of a career in a health care-related field.

Dr. Raana Akbar Scholarship for Women in Health CareIn memory and honor of Dr. Raana Akbar, Dr. Waheed Akbar and the Akbar family has graciously donated funds to the St. Mary’s of Michigan Foundation for the purpose of establishing an annual scholarship in the amount of $1,500.

Jacques Auxiliary Health Care Advancement ScholarshipUp to three non-renewable $1,000 awards may be made per year to qualified St. Mary’s of Michigan associates who are enrolled or have been accepted for enrollment in an academic program leading to a degree or certificate in nursing or an allied health care field.

Meisel Memorial Health Care Scholarship will be awarded to a St. Mary’s of Michigan associate who is enrolled or has been accepted for enrollment in an academic program leading to a degree or certificate in nursing or an allied health care field. One $1,000 scholarship will be awarded in 2013.

Children’s Free Ward Association Health Care ScholarshipOne non-renewable $1,000 award may be made per year to a qualified high school senior with at least one parent who is an associate of St. Mary’s of Michigan, St. Mary’s of Michigan Standish Hospital or St. Joseph Health System.

Children’s Free Ward Association Health Care Advancement ScholarshipThis non-renewable $1,000 award may be made to one qualified scholarship applicant per year to a St. Mary’s of Michigan, St. Mary’s of Michigan Standish Hospital or St. Joseph Health System associate who is pursuing an academic program in nursing, health care administration or an allied health care field. Medical Staff Nursing ScholarshipOne scholarship of $1,500.00 will be awarded annually to an individual enrolled or accepted for enrollment in an academic program which leads to an ADN or BSN nursing degree. Nursing Student ScholarshipThe Nursing Student Scholarship is available to St. Mary’s of Michigan associates who are current nursing students entering or within their final year of Registered Nurse curriculum.

Registered Nurse Bridge ScholarshipA $3,000 scholarship for those pursuing a program leading from an ADN to a BSN and a $5,000 scholarship for those pursuing a program leading from a BSN to an MSN are offered to all current St. Mary’s of Michigan RNs.

Duffy Rehabilitation Services Advancement ScholarshipThe Duffy Rehabilitation Services Advancement Scholarship is awarded to a rehabilitation services employee who is enrolled or has been accepted for enrollment in an academic program leading to an undergraduate or graduate degree in rehabilitation services or an allied health care-related field. One $2,000 scholarship will be awarded to a qualified scholarship applicant per year.
