Spiritual Wellness
Spiritual Support
Each and every day, at 12 noon, the chimes ring in the chapel at St. Mary's of Michigan Medical Center. During that time, you are in our prayers. So are our other patients, staff, physicians and volunteers at all of our 23 specialty centers.

When your health is in question, faith becomes more important than ever. Our spiritual-centered care dates back to our very beginning, when four Daughters of Charity established St. Mary's as a rough but ready frontier hospital.

To this day, St. Mary's of Michigan strives to meet your emotional and spiritual needs -- and those of your family -- just like we work to heal your physical illnesses and injuries.

Our spiritual support includes :
  • Interdenominational pastoral care staff
  • St. Mary's of Michigan Medical Center chapel for prayer and meditation
  • St. Mary's of Michigan Towne Centre interfaith meditation room
  • Ministers of all faiths invited to visit patients
  • Regular mass
  • Chaplain visits EVERY inpatient at the medical center
  • Communion for Catholics distributed daily by eucharist volunteers
  • Other sacraments can be arranged

For more information and support, contact the Pastoral Care office at (989) 907-8195.
