Vice President of Medical Affairs Named at St. Mary’s
St. Mary’s of Michigan is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Raghu Sarvepalli as Vice President for Medical Affairs. Dr. Sarvepalli, who has held the position in an interim role, will also continue his practice as a family medicine physician with Heritage Family Physicians on a part-time basis and he will continue to serve as the Medical Director of the St. Mary’s of Michigan Physician Hospital Organization as he has for the last ten years.
"Dr. Sarvepalli has provided strong and steady leadership as the interim Vice President for Medical Affairs and it has become evident he meets and exceeds the criteria established for that position,” stated St. Mary’s of Michigan President and CEO John Graham.
Dr. Sarvepalli completed graduate studies in the United Kingdom where he also was trained in orthopedic surgery and family medicine. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh. Dr. Sarvepalli undertook his residency through Saginaw Cooperative Hospitals and is Board Certified in family medicine. He has served as President of the Saginaw County Academy of Family Physicians and has been a member of the Medical Executive Committee for the past ten years.
Dr. Sarvepalli is actively involved in the care of orphaned, blind and physically disabled children. He is also working as an advocate for poverty trapped children in India.
