Soul Food Celebrates Black History Month

Two St. Mary’s of Michigan cooks have big plans to prepare a soul food special in celebration of Black History Month in the hospital cafeteria this week. This is for everyone to enjoy, not just those of one part

Both cooks plan and prepare the special menu during this week. Along with the traditional soul food, the two cooks will each prepare their famous dish - Betty J’s famous homemade potatoes and Joyce’s famous banana pudding.
Cooks, Connie Wingard and Joyce Lewis have been preparing special menus for black history month for the past 10 years.
