Going Green and Staying Clean
St. Mary’s of Michigan is taking steps to deliver a cleaner, healthier environment while ensuring that it is done in the most earth friendly manner possible. It is part of a growing trend nationwide as hospitals – typically large users of energy and water – increasingly seek to shrink their environmental footprint.
In addition to Green chemicals, the hospital has made the move from traditional mops to microfiber technology. The advantage in using Green technology to clean isn’t only helping the environment, but it also helps those who work with the products.
Going Green does not mean sacrificing quality. "I am proud to be part of this movement that is both effective and environmentally responsible,” said Batchelder. Recycling and use of Green technology makes sense because it allows us to live and work in a healthier environment.
