Rich Herm Receives Alumni Award
Saginaw Valley State University honored six of its graduates during the 2010 Alumni Celebration Saturday, Nov. 6. Rich Herm, RN and Clinical Research Specialist with Field Neurosciences Institute received the Outstanding Alumnus in the College of Health & Human Services award at the annual Celebration.
Rich is a three-time SVSU graduate, earning bachelor's degrees in 1977 and 1981, and a master's degree in nursing in 2004. As a registered nurse, he has spent the last 12 years coordinating clinical research at the FNI, affiliate of St. Mary's of Michigan, where he has worked for 38 years. Rich also has chaired the Neuro-oncology Special Focus Group of the American Association of Neuroscience Nurses since 2009.
Since 2003, the SVSU Alumni Association has been presenting awards to recognize outstanding alumni from each of the University's five colleges to recognize remarkable professional success and the positive reflection made upon the reputation of all graduates of the respective college and the University.
