St. Mary's of Michigan Shares "Best of Show" Victory
The Barckholtz Group and St. Mary's representatives accept the awards
"We Are St. Mary's," the dance-inspired YouTube hit featuring St. Mary's of Michigan associates, earned BEST OF SHOW honors in the 2010 ADDY Awards competition held by the Great Lakes Bay Chapter of the American Advertising Federation (GLB AAF).
The video - designed be an uplifting tribute to caregivers, support staff, administrators, and volunteers -- was a team effort by The Barckholtz Group, a creative firm and founding GLB AAF member in Saginaw; ImageWorks Ltd., a video production leader in Midland, and the St. Mary's of Michigan Planning & Marketing Department.
The real "stars," however, are St. Mary's of Michigan associates - who demonstrate that when you love what you do…it shows.
This year's ADDY competition drew more than 100 entries. The local GLB competition is the first step in the world's largest advertising competition and most representative competition for creative excellence. The "We Are St. Mary's" video - as well as the original music score created for it -- will now advance to a multi-state district competition where, if successful, it will continue to the national level.
