Saginaw County Community Health Improvement Plan Upcoming Public Event
Make plans to attend the Saginaw County Community Health Improvement Plan
(CHIP) upcoming public event that
will be held March 13 from 4:00 – 5:30 p.m. at
St. Mary's of Michigan Education Center.
The purpose of the event is to unveil the updated 2014-2016 CHIP,
our community’s roadmap for setting priorities, defining
actions and developing policies that promote health.
During this public
meeting, please note the need for broad
community support and commitment in the on-going systematic coordination and
targeting of resources to carry out health improvement activities.
CHIP efforts underway in Saginaw are spearheaded by the Saginaw
Community Foundation, Saginaw County Department of Public Health, Saginaw
County Community Mental Health Authority, Covenant HealthCare, St. Mary's of
Michigan, Health Delivery, Inc. and the Saginaw Intermediate School District. The Community Health Needs Assessment process involved many other stakeholders
and was centered on gathering input from residents.
