Q: What is included on my bill? Will I receive just one bill, or can I expect to receive others?
A: When you receive a bill from St. Mary's of Michigan, it includes charges incurred at the medical center or one of our other specialty centers. These charges may include medications, tests, procedures, and equipment.
Doctors fees will be billed separately by their offices, even for outpatient procedures. So, you are likely to receive multiple bills. Here are some common examples:

Q: Will St. Mary's of Michigan bill my insurance company or do I need to notify them?
A: If you have Blue Cross, Medicare, group insurance or other coverage, we will contact your insurance carrier directly. That's why we ask for your driver's license and insurance cards when you register for care. Having accurate, up-to-date information about your insurance allows us to do our job.
We also recommend that you read and understand your insurance policy. Your insurance company may not pay for all of your services - and most have deductibles and co-payments that are your responsibility. Any items not covered by your insurance will be billed to you.
Q: Does St. Mary's of Michigan accept credit cards?
A: Yes, we honor MasterCard, Visa, Discovery and American Express
