Spine & Rehabilitation Center

We specialize in patients with acute, sub-acute and chronic spinal pain. Treatment is customized to each patient’s own specific needs and includes:
  • Evaluation by a physical therapist 
  • Individualized exercise program to address deficits, functional activities and work simulation
  • Stress management, relaxation training and other cognitive behavioral services

The spine & rehabilitation program at St. Mary’s of Michigan is particularly effective for the following needs:
  • Post surgery rehabilitation stretching, strengthening, cardio fitness training, work simulation 
  • Geriatrics fall prevention in addition to flexibility, strength and balance
  • Perinatal and postpartum pelvic stabilization, body mechanics, upper extremity strengthening
  • Health Psychology addresses the psychosocial stresses caused by chronic pain
  • Headaches addresses headache origin, sleep and work postures, psychosocial stressors that may be contributing to headaches
  • Lower Extremities hip, knee, ankle, or foot pain and/or dysfunction, including post-surgical management
  • Manual Therapy passive movement of a joint or soft tissue to improve function and decrease pain
