Daytime Sleepiness Test

In the following situations, rate yourself on this scale:
0 = would never doze
1 = slight chance of dozing
2 = moderate chance of dozing
3 = high chance of dozing

Sitting and reading?
Watching television?
Sitting inactive in a public place?
Passenger in a car?
Lying down to rest?
Sitting and talking to someone?
Sitting quietly after lunch?
Driving a car stopped in traffic?

If your score adds up to a 10 or higher, talk to your doctor. Being tired during the day may be caused by a sleep disorder that can be diagnosed and treated at the St. Mary's of Michigan Sleep Disorders Center.
