St. Mary's of Michigan Standish Hospital established a Development Fund in 1986 for the purpose of making improvements to the facility.  The goal is to provide the best possible health care for the communities we serve.  In order to do so, we invite community residents, hospital employees, medical staff, auxilians, and board members to support the hospital through charitable giving.
 
Development Fund monies are used for updating facilities and technology at St. Mary's of Michigan Standish Hospital – to ultimately enhance the level of health care services.  Development Fund monies are restricted for board-approved projects, and are NOT used for hospital operations or salaries.

The St. Mary's of Michigan Standish Hospital Development Fund has provided funding for several projects over the years:     
 
Expansion and remodeling of clinical areas:
*  Critical care unit
*  Clinic
*  Emergency department
*  2nd X-ray room
*  Surgical recovery suite

Renovation of ancillary departments:
*  Medical records
*  Patient services
*  Business office

Construction of courtyard annex:
*  CT scanner
*  Bone densitometry
*  Mammography
*  Microbiology lab

Every gift to the Development Fund is appreciated.  Your support is more important than the dollar amount you contribute.  You can join the Development Club by contributing $25.00 or more annually.  Every dollar adds up quickly when contributions are pooled together.

Contributions to the SMMSH Development Fund are tax-deductible. 
Memorial and honorarium gifts can be made to the SMMSH Development Fund.  The donor makes a charitable gift in the name of a loved one, and specifies who needs to be notified regarding the gift.  Whenever a memorial or honorarium is made, the dollar amount of the gift is not disclosed.
