The Emergency Department at St. Mary's of Michigan Standish Hospital delivers a vital service to the area, providing emergency care for critically ill and injured patients.
Staffed with a highly skilled group of physicians and nurses 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, the Emergency Department is equipped with state-of-the-art technology to rapidly and effectively assess, stabilize, and treat patients at a time when they need it most.
All Emergency Department nurses are certified in advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) and pediatric advaced life support (PALS).
Following a visit to the Emergency Department, patients should schedule an appointment with their family physician or be rechecked at the St. Mary's of Michigan Standish Hospital Rural Health Clinic.

Transport Services
In addition to ground ambulance services, St. Mary's of Michigan Standish Hospital provides FlightCare - - rapid, high-quality air transport for critically ill and injured patients who need it. The crew consists of emergency medical service personnel with advanced training, including a registered nurse, paramedic, and pilot.
FlightCare broadens the scope of services provided by St. Mary's of Michigan Standish Hospital, giving patients immediate access to the advanced specialty care available at St. Mary's of Michigan Medical Center in Saginaw, as well as other tertiary care medical centers around the state.
