The experts at St. Mary's of Michigan ~ many of them women ~ believe that delivering the
Healing Edge begins by empowering women with the information and services needed to be as
healthy as possible ... body, mind, and spirit.
Our physicians, nurse practitioners and clinical staff offer care for all stages of a woman's
life - from "young of age" to "young at heart" and includes: general wellness,
breast & gynecologic care, bone health, injury & chronic illness treatment,
surgical procedures, prevention programs, and nutrition & weight management counseling.
We're excited about connecting the women of our community with the health professionals
at St. Mary's of Michigan. We bring our expertise to the table, sharing with you the tools
you'll need to better manage your own well being and that of your loved ones.

Women at the May 19 Woman to Woman event received a snapshot of their current health through free
bone density, cholesterol and body mass index screenings. After each screening, the women were provided
with information how they can become healthier and stay healthy.
The screenings were just the beginning to the Woman to Woman event. In fact, the main focus of the
day came after the screenings were completed. This was when three doctors took the stage to give
presentations and answer questions about important health issues that face women. First, Dr.
Lioudmila Kinachtchouk spoke to the audience about ways to maintain a healthy weight. Next, Dr.
Deborah Russell gave her presentation on how the de Vinci robotic surgical system is used for
gynecological procedures. Then, Dr. Kala Ramasamy spoke about diabetes management. These presentations
lead into a very educational question and answer session which wrapped up the event.
